Meet the “Mortgage Man”

John Meyer - President

Known as THE MORTGAGE MAN, John opened State Street Mortgage & Loan Company in 2004. He presently hosts a live call in radio show every Saturday morning at 8 AM on WMAY 970, dealing with credit and mortgage issues. He is the current Treasurer of the Illinois Association of Mortgage Professionals. He has earned the Lending Integrity Seal of Approval from the National Association of Mortgage Brokers. A Viet Nam veteran, John is also a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion. He is married with two grown children and three grandchildren.

Kelly Brown-Loan Processor

Coming from a strong accounting and paralegal background Kelly is responsible for the processing of loans and preparing them for closing. Kelly is also bilingual. In her spare time she enjoys relaxing, horseback riding.

Nedla Liggett - Vice President

Nedla has over 20 years experience in mortgage lending and is an expert in FHA, Rural Development and VA loans.

Dave Boyd - Loan Officer

Dave has been with State Street since the company was founded in 2004. He has a BS in business from Eastern IL University and a MBA from Sangamon State University. Dave is a precinct committeeman, serves as a member of Money Smart Week and is a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church. He lives in Springfield with his wife and daughter.

Bruce Bangert - Loan Officer

A native of Quincy, IL Bruce graduated from Eureka College. He has been involved in consumer and mortgage lending for over 25 years. He is Past President of Consumer Counseling and a graduate of Marquette University Consumer Management School. He is married and has one daughter.

Bobby Brown - Loan Officer

Bobby is our representative in the Peoria area. She has several years of experience in the mortgage industry and is active in the Peoria Area.

Bob Clark – Loan Officer

Bob is the State Street representative in the Bloomington-Normal area. He has extensive experience in residential and commercial lending.
